From the inside cover
“Cherish each moment!” “It goes by so fast!” “You’ll miss these days!”
Parents of young children hear it all — but between the predawn wake-ups and messy mischief, it’s easy to want to rush through this precious time. You’re Only Two Once is a humorous meditation on the travails and delights of toddler-hood. Take a moment to see the world through a toddler’s eyes to truly appreciate the special magic of this age.
It’s a reminder that two is not just the “terrible twos.” It’s also an age of joy, wonder, and exploration. Often given as a birthday gift, a holiday present, or just because.

From Kirkus
A 2-year-old acts like a typical toddler in this debut picture book that offers a humorous, motivational riff on the phrase “you only live once.” Arumba’s art is cheerful throughout and supplies just as much storytelling as Costello’s accessible text. A comedic hit, especially for older siblings.
About the author
Marta Costello is a children’s book author with a background in media. She holds degrees in journalism and psychology, and has worked as a television reporter, newspaper reporter, producer, and lifestyle show host. She created and hosted The Gnooze, a daily satirical news show on YouTube.
Her love of children’s literature blossomed after starting her own family. You’re Only Two Once is her debut, drawn from the playful antics of her two-year-old son. She lives with her husband, three children, and little dog — usually someplace sunny, hopefully near water.
About the illustrator
Widya Arumba R.L. illustrated You’re Only Two Once in soft, cheerful digital cartoons that carry as much of the story as the text.
